Even though we want to be sure our children have the best summer experience, we know just how frustrating it can be. There are so many amazing options in Boston and beyond, and it’s hard to know what may be the best fit for your child(ren). Fleur de Lis Camp

Fleur de Lis Camp is a traditional sleepaway camp for girls ages 8 to 15, located on the shores of Laurel Lake in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. Whether it’s learning to serve a tennis ball, practicing lines for a play, swimming, or playing capture the flag, it’s about gaining confidence and independence. Fleur de Lis is committed to fostering leadership skills, citizenship, and self-confidence while helping each girl reach her full potential. This community is intentionally “age-blind;” they believe each girl, regardless of her age, can help and learn from fellow campers during activities, eating together in the dining hall, and living with peers. Founded in 1957 and located on beautiful Cape Cod, Camp Wingate*Kirkland is a co-ed, overnight camp for children ages 7-15 and day camp for children ages 4-13 that offers a unique experience. With ~200 campers and a staff-camper ratio of 1:3, the W*K environment is small and nurturing. Campers belong to a community that fosters respect for everyone, regardless of their differences. Ignite your child’s curiosity this summer! At Summer Sage, learning is fun! Both Sage Exploration (grades PK–3) and Sage Academy (grades 4–8) provide daily academic enrichment for inquisitive and motivated students. Summer Sage is open to all students and provides campers with a sampling of The Sage School’s year-round inspiring curriculum. Both Summer Sage camps are offered weekly from July 10–August 4, 2017, and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For students in pre-kindergarten and in Sage Academy, there is a half-day option as well. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun-filled environment, campers at Spotlight will experience the thrill of performing in a fully-staged musical production!  Over the course of the 3 week workshop, in addition to rehearsing for the big production at the end of the session, campers will learn all about singing, dancing, stage and on-camera acting, auditioning, set design and more.  Family, friends, and the public will be invited to the final performance on the last day of the workshop!

Prefer to not be on stage?  We’re thrilled to introduce The Artist’s Lab to Spotlight this summer! The Artist’s Lab is a 1-6 week art and video workshop where campers will get the chance to experiment with drawing, painting, sculpting, arts & crafts, cartoons, claymation, lego animation, filmmaking, special effects, set design and all kinds of other fun, creative projects!  The kids in the Artist’s Lab will also be designing the set for the final musical production and can help out backstage during the show if they’d like too!

ABC Spanish in Motion

Our Spanish summer camp provides an opportunity for children to learn and/or practice Spanish in an immersive and cultural context. Kidstock! provides weekly summer programs from June 19-August 31, for children ages 4-14. Our 4-6 yr program “Creative Arts,” introduces children to the excitement of being onstage with experiences in drama, art, music, and creative movement, exploring themes such as Dinosaurs and Dalmatians, Space and Mermaids, and Monsters. Our 6-10 yr Summerstage program empowers children to create their own musical throughout the week, with themes such as 101 Dinosaurs, Dog Quixote, and The Little Martian. The Jester Troupe program for ages 10-14 workshops established musical theatre titles including Aladdin Jr., Hairspray Jr., and Shrek Jr., giving each actor a chance to find their voice within an onstage role. As is always our goal, Kidstock! focuses on the process of creating theatre, and celebrates the potential each child has to add to the team objective.

Tenacre is proud to be the best first camp experience for your child! Paddle Fish

Join the staff of Paddle Fish as we spend a week kayak fishing in the Berkshires. Campers will spend the week learning paddling skills and safety from certified ACA instructors and expert anglers.

The waters in the Berkshires teem with smallmouth and largemouth bass as well as northern pike. Campers will hit the rivers and lakes daily, Greenwater Pond, Buckley Dunton Lake, Woods Pond, and the famous Housatonic River. There is so much good water within a few miles of the house, the most difficult is finding time to fish it all.
