Sidewalk Sale at the Coolidge Corner Shops!

Coolidge Corner – Harvard Street, Brookline

The sale is a two-day event during which your favorite dining, retail and service locations take to the streets, with promotions and merchandise on the sidewalk for your perusal! Over 30 businesses will be participating this year, including sales on clothes, jewelry, exercise equipment, toys and games, ice cream and frozen yogurt, live music, discounts on electronics and banking and much, much more!

ICA Play Dates

10:00 am – 4:00 pm :: FREE

Kids rule the ICA the last Saturday of every month, when the museum fills up with fun, creative, and even zany activities for kids and adults to do together.
Stroll the galleries and discover ways artists use technology.

Admission is FREE for up to 2 adults per family when accompanied by children ages 12 and under. Youth 17 and under are always admitted free to the ICA. All ages welcome; programs best suited for ages 6 and older. Check back for programming details and schedules as program dates approach.

PJ Library Family Yoga in the Park

11:00 am – 1:00 pm :: FREE

Celebrate Shabbat at Dickerman Playground (33-47 Craigie Street) in Somerville on Saturday, July 28 from 11am-1pm. Join us for a family picnic in the park followed by relaxing yoga and playground time or fun in the splash pad. Bring a blanket and food for your family (and a yoga mat if you have one). We’ll provide the challah and grape juice. Bring a bathing suit or a change of clothes for the splash pad. No charge. For families with children ages 0-6 years.

Sunset Sips at Stone Zoo

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm :: $25.00

Relax and take in the beautiful summer night as you stroll amongst Caribbean flamingos, bush dogs, North American river otters, black bears, and the rest of the animals that call Stone Zoo home for an after-hours night at the Zoo! Throughout the evening, be sure to visit with the Zoo’s Animal Ambassadors, which could include a baby alligator, a prehensile-tailed porcupine and others. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more and ask the zookeepers questions. There will be music, a cash bar and food available to purchase. Each ticket comes with one free glass of wine from Barefoot Wine and Bubbly. This event is 21+.

Minni SoWa Sundays

10:00-4:00 :: 71 Thayer Street, Boston :: FREE

We are open every Sunday for SoWa Open Market with free art + design projects programmed for little ones ages 18 months to 10 years old.

You will find many different project themes when visiting, including building, printing, fashion design and music making! Visit our reading nook, which houses a rotation of art and design books for all literacy levels.

The featured books will rotate alongside our drop-in project themes, allowing these materials to serve as an extension of the hands-on experiences Minni artists enjoy across each visit.

Through The Keyhole at the Old State House

9:00-6:00 :: 206 Washington Street, Boston :: Adults $10, Youth ages 6-18, Massachusetts Teachers, EBT Cardholders, US Military and Veterans are admitted free.

The Bostonian Society presents Through the Keyhole, an all-new exhibition at the Old State House exploring how the objects we preserve shape the stories we remember.

For the first time in decades, the front door of the Hancock House, John Hancock’s Beacon Hill home, will be displayed to the public, newly set in a meticulous recreation of its original surrounding entryway crafted by students from the Preservation Carpentry program at North Bennet Street School.

The exhibit will also feature additional items from The Bostonian Society’s collection, which relate to the Hancock home and its inhabitants, including oil paintings, the Hancock family bible, and wooden mementos made from the timbers of the original house.
